Lady Pirates Defeat Warner, Webbers Falls

WARNER - The Gore fastpitch softball team collected a pair of wins on Tuesday, going on the road to defeat Warner and Webbers Falls in a three-way hosted by Warner.

In the first game, Macy Moseley pitched the Lady Pirates to a 12-4 win over Warner as her Gore teammates totaled 11 base hits.

Gore followed that up with a 7-0 victory against Webbers Falls. Pitcher Kera Smith tossed a shutout to get the win.

Kera Smith, Kendra Smith and Candice Long all belted triples on Tuesday, while other offensive leaders for Gore included Erin Qualls, Chelsea Kizzia and Dena Qualls with doubles.

Gore was scheduled to play at Vian on Friday before hosting Central on Tuesday afternoon.
