Johnny Steven Pollard
Johnny Steven Pollard, who resided in Sallisaw, died Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born on Dec. 30, 1954, in Sequoyah County in Sallisaw to the late Bud Pollard and Eunice (Ogdon) Pollard. He was 67 years old.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lorene Thomas and Evelyn Strahm, and five brothers, Ed New, Doyle New, Harvey New, Bud Jr. Pollard, and Bill Pollard. Johnny was a retired equipment operator for 35
Johnny was a retired equipment operator for 35 years for the City of Fort Smith and was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tina (McCurley) Pollard; three daughters, Tabatha Perdue and husband Lance of Keota, Nevaeh Pollard and Neelah Pollard, both of Sallisaw; two sons, John Pollard, Jr. and wife Dusti of Panama and Colton Pollard of Sallisaw; two sisters, Linda Johnson and Charlotte Hill both of Sallisaw; four grandchildren, Alexus Peters, Ty Peters and his companion Sabra, Dixie Pollard and J.W. Pollard; three great-grandchildren, Lane McDonald, Baker Peters and Oaklee Peters; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
