Wolff named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week
RICHARDSON, Texas — Texas A&M-Kingsville baseball’s Nick Wolff was recently named Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week after a series that saw the Javelinas pick up a trio of wins on the road against No. 17 West Texas A&M.
Wolff, a junior catcher out of Klein, Texas, picked up his first weekly award of the 2023 season after mashing a trio of home runs en route to 11 RBIs and a .529 batting average. Additionally, he caught all four games for the Javelinas, walking three times and logging a 1.737 OPS against the Buffs.
This marks the fourth LSC Hitter of the Week honor in his career after he claimed it three times last season en route to a Lone Star Conference Newcomer of the Year accolade.
Editor’s Note: Nick Wolff is the grandson of Brenda Martin and the late Mel Martin of Sallisaw, and the son of Russell and Raegan Wolff of Spring, Texas. The Martins were longtime educators for Sallisaw Public Schools, and Raegan is a Sallisaw High School graduate.
