Winner of Callilope quilt announced

Stephine Smith’s name was recently drawn from hundreds of people who purchased tickets as the winner of the Callilope quilt made by Reba Luce to benefit the Senior Nutrition Center Council of Sallisaw.

Luce, who is treasurer of the council, and Sue Mott presented the quilt to Smith.

Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the center with items that cannot be purchased by the center and provides a benevolent fund for seniors in the community, Mott said.
