18 Vian Wrestling Club members qualify for OKWA State Tournament

CHECOTAH — The Vian Wrestling Club had one of its best days of action as the organization saw 18 members qualify for this weekend’s Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association (OKWA) State Tournament, which will be today and Saturday at Oklahoma City’s Jim Norick State Fair Arena. At last Saturday’s OKWA Regional Tournament, four members won regional titles — Lex Branham (131 pounds, age 10-and-younger division), Madalynn Turman (75, girls age 8-and-younger), Luke Sandlin (49, age 6-and-younger) and Joely Hunt (88, girls age 10-andyounger).
