Former Vian softball player, EOSC lose twinbill to Paris JC
WILBURTON — Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Greenlee Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers suffered a pair of losses Tuesday afternoon to Paris (Texas) Junior College by scores of 6-3 and 7-1.
In the opener, Wells was 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, while going 1-for-3 in the nightcap for the Lady Mountaineers (7-5).
Through 12 games, Wells is hitting .472 with eight homers, 20 runs batted in and 14 runs scored.
The Lady Mountaineers, who played a Thursday afternoon doubleheader against Crowder College in Neosho, Mo., will play in the Drury JUCO Classic today and Saturday. EOSC will meet Allen County Community College at 10 this morning and State Fair Community College at 2:30 this afternoon, then will meet Southeastern Community College at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Neosho County Community College at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
Then, the Lady Mountaineers will return home to meet the Murray State College Aggies in a twinbill at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Wilburton.
