Death makes so many of us uncomfortable

Death makes so many of us uncomfortable. People don’t know what to say so they give empty platitudes. I get it. Before I lost my husband, I didn’t know how to deal with those that were grieving either. But now there are things that are physically painful to hear. Be respectful and polite, but some things should not be said. Some things make us feel so much worse, make us defensive or make us want to run away.
