Gore tracksters win titles at Porter Consolidated Pirate Invitational; other locals place
PORTER — Gore High School had several track athletes win titles at Friday’s Porter Consolidated Pirate Invitational track meet.
Gore Lady Pirate senior Hallie Kinion won three individual titles, winning the 400-meter dash (1:03) as well as the 800-meter (2:22.9) and the 1,600-meter runs (5:52.71). Kinion also was a part of the championship 1,600-meter relay team with Emily Daily, Amelia White and Rayleigh Moore that finished with a winning time of 4:29.4.
On the boys’ side, Gore’s Journey Shells won the high jump (5-10), while the Pirates had a 1-2 finish in the 300-meter hurdles as Devon Mannon won with a time of 44.51 seconds with Shells runner-up (45.39 seconds).
As for other Lady Pirates individually, White was fourth (1:08.06) and Moore was ninth (1:13.2) in the 400-meter dash, White was fifth (2:44.86) and Moore was seventh (2:46.24) in the 800-meter run, Sierra Pettit was sixth (30.13 seconds), Kailey Mannon was seventh (30.21) and Ricki Huckbay was 17th (32.84) in the 200-meter dash and Daily was eighth (14.23), Gracie Bruce was 15th (15.18) and Huckbay was 19th (15.46) in the 100-meter dash.
As for other Lady Pirate relay teams, Bruce, Mannon, Daily and Pettit were fifth in the 800-meter relay (2:04.14).
As for other Pirates individually, Burr Jaynes was third (2:25.58) and Landyn Johnson was 14th (2:42.9) in the 800-meter run, Luis Schyktanz was fourth (96-4) and William Morris was 18th (46-1) in the discus, Gabe Hefley was sixth (58.87 seconds) and Johnson was 13th (1:12.27) in the 400-meter dash, Mannon was ninth (12.21) and Hefley was 11th (12.56) in the 100-meter dash, Morris was ninth (36-3) and Schyktanz was 15th (31-6) in the shot put and Jaynes was 10th run the 200-meter dash (26.23).
Vian, Gans and Webbers Falls also had track athletes perform and place in Friday’s meet.
For the Wolverines individually, Ethan Bullock was runner-up (17-9.25) and Ashton Robinson was 14th (14-6.25) in the long jump, Tristan Wiley was third in the discus (97-0), Austin Wilson was fourth (58.49 seconds) and Nathan Creasey was 11th (1:05.84) in the 400-meter dash, Bullock was fifth (24.45) and Jacob Brannick was seventh (24.7) in the 200-meter dash, Brannick was sixth (12.07), Bullock was eighth (12.11) and Ashton Robinson was 17th (13.36) in the 100-meter dash and Peyton Johnson was sixth (38-2) and Clay Clark was 16th (31-0) in the shot put.
As for the Lady Wolverines individually, Tina Rautenberg was third (20.28 seconds) and Kala Gibbins was fourth (20.53) in the 100-meter hurdles, Tina Rautenberg was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles (1:01), Aubrey Gant was fifth (4-6) and Brooke Byers was seventh (4-4) in the high jump, Madison Ross was sixth in the 400-meter dash (1:11.15), Halli Rusell was sixth (13-11.25) and Annie Neal was eighth (13-3) in the long jump, Russell was ninth in the high jump (40), Izzy Clouse was ninth in the shot put (23-3), Clouse was ninth (55-7) and Carmen Rautenberg was 10th (55-0) in the discus, Carmen Rautenberg was 12th (3:18.51) and Ayden Crittenden was 13th (3:20.63) in the 800-meter run and Byers was 14th (32.44) in 200-meter dash.
As for Lady Wolverine relay teams, Gibbins, Carmen Rautenberg, Neal and Gant were third in the 3,200-meter relay (12:40.93), while Neal, Ross, Russell and Tina Rautenberg were fourth in the 800-meter relay (2:02.06).
For the Lady Grizzlies individually, Brianna Burris was runner-up in the shot put (27-8), Melania Paniagua was third (75-8) and Burris was fourth (74-0) in the discus, Gabbie Price was sixth (13.95 seconds) and Mafe Reis was 18th (15.45) in the 100-meter dash, Taniya Jones was 11th (1:15.12) and Vittoria Laggia was 16th (1:35.64) in the 400-meter dash, Reis was 15th in the 200-meter dash (32.77) and Jones was 20th in the 100-meter dash (15.6).
The Lady Grizzlies’ 400-meter relay team of Jones, Reis, Paniagua and Price was fifth (59.9 seconds).
As for Warriors, they had one individual place as Eli Hefflin was fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (31.66 seconds) and was 10th in the 400-meter dash (1:05.31).
As for the Lady Warriors individually, Cheyanne Herrier was third in the 3,200-meter run (14:33.66), Herrier was fourth (6:38.61) and Hailey Shanks was ninth (8:11.73) in the 1,600-meter run, Teralynn Colston was fourth (59.7 seconds), Shannon Pense was seventh (1:03.17) and Abby Pense was ninth (1:18.93) in the 300-meter hurdles, Bridgette Baer was fifth (14-3.25), Abby Pense was 10th (12-11.75) and Abbie Patterson was 12th (121.75) in the long jump, Shannon Pense was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (21.41), Patterson was eighth in the shot put (23-3) and 12th in the discus (50-7), Bridgette Baer was 10th in the 100-meter dash (14.33), Herrier was 11th (3:02.09) and Patterson was 14th (3:29.77) and Shanks was 15th (3:30.3) in the 800-meter run.
As for Lady Warrior relay teams, Abby Pense, Baer, Colston and Herrier were runners-up in the 3,200-meter relay (12:11.32), while both Penses, Baer and Colston were fourth in the 1,600-meter relay.
The postseason has arrived for the local track teams on Saturday as regional meets will take place, where state berths are earned.
The Gore and Vian teams, along with Central’s, will be at the Class 2A Regional Meet at Okemah, while the Webbers Falls and Gans squads will be in the Class A Regional Meet at Okemah.
