First-graders help ‘Kindergarten buddies’

Mrs. Barrett’s first grade class at Liberty Elementary School in Sallisaw loved helping Mrs. Davis’ kindergarten class. They call them their “kindergarten buddies.”

The first-graders spend one day each week helping their buddies make a craft or learn something new. This week, they helped their “kindergarten buddy” make their very own “seed bomb.”

The students said they can’t wait to plant them and watch them turn into beautiful wild flowers.
