Youth comments on pet ordinance

Dear Editor,

I hope people will read the Sallisaw pet ordinance over. This ordinance will affect many of the people in and outside of Sallisaw, and, personally, I think it is disgusting.

How can you tell people that they cannot feed themselves or supply food for their own family? How can you tell people that they have to let a poor animal, that trusts them to be their only reliable source of food on a daily basis, starve to death?
