Looper benefit Aug. 10
A benefit Hamburger Dinner and Dessert auction fundraiser for Jonathan Kody Looper, formerly of Sallisaw, will begin at 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Sallisaw First Assembly of God Church on Saturday, Aug. 10. The $7 hamburger meal will begin at 5 p.m. and the Dessert Auction will start at 6 p.m.

Jonathan Kody is a 2004 Graduate of Sallisaw High School and a 2008 Graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D. C. He is battling Stage 3 Lymphoma Cancer and is currently receiving care from New York Cancer & Blood Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center under the care of Dr. Murphy in Stony Brook, N.Y.
The benefit meal and auction is organized by Kathy Rolston, Paul Marshall and Ed and Judy Enos; and all donations taken will be to help defray expenses and loss of income and support. Donations can also be sent to Jonathan in care of his parents, Rich and June Looper, 2064 West Breckenridge Ave., in Sallisaw. His parents are encouraged that he is improving and are trusting the Lord for his health to be restored.
