Grease fire reported at China Harbor
Sallisaw Fire Chief Anthony Armstrong said Sallisaw firefighters responded to a grease fire on Friday afternoon at the China Harbor restaurant. Armstrong said firefighters were called out at about 2:52 p.m. after a pan of grease caught fire in the kitchen area. “The suppression system put the grease fire out, which is its job,” Armstrong said. There was no extensive damage reported and by lunchtime on Saturday, the restaurant had reopened for business.
