Mishap causes power outage

A semi truck appeared to misjudge a right turn and clipped a power pole on the northeast side of the Best Mart convenience store located ar the corner of Cherokee Avenue and McGee Street in Sallisaw on Tuesday night. Power on the south side of the city was out for about 45 minutes before city crews had it restored. Traffic on Cherokee was diverted through the East Gate Shopping Center parking lot.
