Halloween happenings

Thursday, Oct. 31, is Halloween, and there’s plenty of activities planned for Sallisaw and Vian.

• Halloween on Elm, on Elm between Cherokee and Chickasaw streets, 5 to 7 p.m. Hosted by the Sallisaw Police Department.

• Trunk-or-Treat on Main Street with Vian Police and Fire departments, along with Pafford EMS, 5 to 7:30 p.m.

• Sequoyah Animal Advocates “trick-or-treat” and pet costume contest at the corner of Oak and Quesenbury streets (north of library), 6 p.m.
