The importance of using blood tracking to locate wounded deer

Five years ago, I published a story on the innovative approach of using tracking dogs to find wounded deer. At that time, Oklahoma recently had only legalized the practice of blood tracking. My hope was to highlight people bringing the service into our area for the very first time, but I recently learned that it helped to inspire one reader to pursue his own interest in tracking again.
