Sallisaw’s district championship game at Ada changed to Thursday night

Black Diamonds seek their first district title since 2013

As the late country singer Jim Reeves sang, “Well, this is it.”

It is going to boil down to one game for a district championship when the Sallisaw Black Diamonds (8-1 overall, 5-1 in District 4A-4 play) visit the Ada Cougars (6-3, 5-1) at 7 p.m. Thursday on the campus of East Central University in Ada.

The game was originally slated for 7 p.m. Friday, but due to inclement weather forecasted that night, the decision was made to move the game to Thursday night at ECU.
