The gift of giving

Matthew McGrew, 17, of Sallisaw has been bringing in gloves, mittens, hats and other items for Your TIMES’ Giving Tree for the past nine years, making it a holiday tradition. Matthew made his first donation at age 8 in December 2015 when he was a student at Liberty Elementary. On Tuesday morning he donated more items, which will be given to Catholic Charities to distribute to those in need. Donations for the Giving Tree can be dropped off at Your TIMES, located at 11 N. Oak, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Dec. 6.
