Zac Rogers era for Sallisaw begins with a victory

The 2024-25 Sallisaw High School basketball season could not have gotten off to a better start Tuesday night at Paul Post Field House as both the Black Diamonds and Lady Diamonds defeated the visiting Westville teams.

The Black Diamonds got new coach and Vian native Zac Rogers his first win in his first game with a 57-43 victory over the Yellowjackets, which came on the heels of the Lady Diamonds holding off the Lady ’Jackets 53-50.
