Wolverines lose to Wyandotte

WYANDOTTE — The Vian Wolverines wrestling team suffered a 24-21 loss to the Wyandotte Bears on Tuesday night.

Three wrestlers — Carlos Rautenberg, Lance Jordan and Kingston Lee — all won by forfeits, while Garritt Hunt won by decision for the Wolverines (2-1 in duals this season).

Two Lady Wolverines, Kye Barnes and Maddison “Maddie” Turman each won by pinfall.

The Wolverines and Lady Wolverines will compete at the Catoosa Tournament today and Saturday, then the Wolverines will be in their District 3A-6 Duals beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tulsa Cascia Hall High School.
