As city manager, Heverly is learning, meeting, assessing

It was 64 years ago when John F. Kennedy was embarking on his time in the White House that has become known as Camelot. And although Brian Heverly was at the time but a twinkle in his father’s eye, the new Sallisaw city manager seemed to invoke JFK’s memorable “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country” quote last week — just two days after the anniversary of Kennedy’s inaugural address — when Heverly was the featured speaker at the Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce’s monthly membership luncheon.
